The Love List | March

It's been a bloody lifetime since I've put a favourites post together and since I've gathered a few things lately that I've become quite fond of, I thought we well overdue another edition!

Beauty |  I don't get to try out as many new beauty products nowadays, having gotten a bit older and found what works for me and what doesn't but over the last month or so I've found a couple of bits that I've been really loving. The first is the L'Oreal Wake Up Scrub, which is a lovely coffee scrub that can be used on the face and on the lips. First off it smells divine - you know me and my coffee addiction gals - but it's also a product that works really well for me and I've noticed my face looks and feels noticeably cleaner, purified and plumped up when I've used it. A definite recommendation!

From their mask range, I've also been loving the Pure Clay Blemish Rescue Mask, which is an absolute dreamboat when you wake up with a second head growing on your face. It makes you look like a smurf and it doesn't smell the best but it gets the job done and for under a tenner it's an absolute steal!

Apparently I've been having a bit of a moment with L'Oreal but a makeup bit I've been loving recently is the Infallible Longwear More Than A Concealer. This stuff is AMAZING. It covers the second head I was on about no problem and stays put all day which is an absolute miracle in itself really as I'm used to my pores taking over my face by midday. The applicator is massive which is unusual but I love it and it's full coverage but blends out beautifully!

The last beauty bit I want to rave about is an oldie but definitely a goodie. For years and years, my signature scent was Guerlain's Insolence which is a delicious perfume that smells of palma violets. I'm not sure when or why I stopped wearing it but recently I caught a whiff of a glamorous woman at work who was wearing Insolence or something very similar and it took me way back! I marched off to Debenhams at the first chance I got and bought myself a bottle and I haven't looked back since.

Fashion | Since I'm on a bit of shopping ban - partly due to being all sustainable and that and partly due to having no dolla - I don't have many fashion favourites to write home about except one which is my beautiful new watch from Adexe which I was kindly gifted. I've never been one to wear a watch, probably because I haven't found a style to suit me before, but I'm absolutely the rose gold chainmail type strap on this one which I think compliments my pasty skin tone perfectly! I love the black face, which I think is a really unique design and gives the watch a really luxurious vibe which I am all about and so far I'm really enjoying styling it up and how it looks with my outfits. Now if only I could learn to be on time once in a while...

Life | I was lucky enough to visit the beautiful Dior exhibition at the V&A museum at the start of the month and it was absolutely breathtaking. I plan on putting up a whole blog post dedicated to the exhibition so I can share some of my photos from the day but I had such a fab time and I left feeling so inspired. As a little souvenir, I picked up a couple of Dior/Vogue prints from the museum gift shop and I can't wait to get them hung up in our flat somewhere!

What have you been loving recently?
Let me know in the comments below and I hope you're having a great start to April!

Always, Alice x

Life | Monday Motivation - My Goals For The Week #1

Unpopular opinion, but I bloody love a Monday.

I don't know if it's the fact that I work over a weekend or that it's my day off Uni but Monday is probably my favourite day of the week and I love treating every Monday as a fresh start, saying goodbye to the week before and onto something new.

Travel | A Beginner's Guide To Birmingham

As I mentioned in yesterdays post, myself and my other half moved our entire life from up north in Yorkshire to the bright lights of Birmingham and I never thought I'd picture myself here of all places but I'm slowly falling in love with the big city life and everything that Birmingham has to offer.

Life | A Year Off Blogging + A Huge Life Updates

Hello there, remember me? (Probably not.)

It's been a year and 2 weeks since I last posted on my little corner of the internet and what a year it's been!
I had such good intentions regarding my blog in 2018 - well, in the first week anyway - and I was adamant I was going to absolutely smash it, churning out content left, right and centre and be at the top of my blogging game for the time, well, ever.
