Beauty: The Best Of Rimmel London 2016

Rimmel is brand who absolutely killed it in the beauty stakes last year. They brought out so many amazing new releases and I was lucky enough to work with them towards the end of the year and be sent some of their pieces!
Around Christmas time, I was sent a little package of their most popular products to create a full look (barring your base) for the festive period but me being me with my awful immune system and heavy workload, I didn't get chance to party at all over Christmas and New Year! Some of these products are old favourites of mine anyway and the newbies I've tried and tested in the last couple of weeks and I wanted to share them with you as I think they're definitely some of the best Rimmel releases of 2016!
Probably my most worn products from Rimmel has to be their lipsticks. I think pretty much every blogger on the planet has tried out the famous Kate Moss 107, which happens to be one of my ultimate faves, so I was really excited when I saw the inclusion of a new nude Kate Moss shade in a gorgeous rose gold packaging as part of 15 Year Kate Moss collection. I have the shade 'Boho Nude' which is absolutely perfect for me as it's not too light to wash out my pale skin. I've given up my beloved red lip shades lately in favour of nude/brown lips so I'll definitely be getting the most out of this one!

On the flip side though, I was also sent a gorgeous deep red shade from the Only 1 Lipstick range in the colour 'One Of  A Kind' which is right up my street. I tried the Only 1 Matte collection a couple of months ago and while I love the shade range and the matte formula, I think I love this one more. It's a satin finish but it still lasts on the lips without being drying and uncomfortable. As with all Rimmel lipsticks, it smells of watermelon too which I LOVE!

I tried the Scandaleyes Reloaded mascaras a couple of months ago too when they launched and I was sent another one here which I was happy about as I love it! Apart from the fact that the face of the campaign is the ultimate bae Cara Delevingne, they're actually really good mascaras, with the traditional fluffy bristle brush that I find works so well on my lashes to separate and lengthen them without clumps! One tube will last you ages as well and I don't find you waste too much excess product like with other mascaras on the market. A definite winner if you're on a budget!

To go with the mascara, is a new discovery from me, in the form of the Scandaleyes Bold liquid liner. I've tried the pen liner versions before but this one was a newbie and while the nib looks crazy, it's actually really effective! The end of the nib has a little ball on the end, which takes some getting used to but it means creating a bold line is so much quicker and easier and perfect for us gals who are always running late!

Lastly, I was also sent one of the Magnif'Eyes eye contour palettes in Grunge Glamour. At first glance, the purple tones weren't completely to my taste, however I've played around with it since and I actually think that plummy shades compliment my blue eyes really well! I've never tried Rimmel eyeshadows before - I didn't even realise they stocked them - but I'm really impressed and I can't wait to go on my next night out and see what I can do with this palette. The shadow formula definitely isn't the best I've ever tried but the shadows are so pigmented and I think you could create some amazing looks with this and it's quite compact so perfect for travelling!

I've really enjoyed trying more from Rimmel over 2016 and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to work with them! It's slowly becoming one of my favourite high street brands ever and I'm excited to see what they release in 2017!
