Beauty: A Lil' Christmas Lush Haul

It was always going to happen wasn't it?

Truth be told, I haven't actually bought anything from Lush in MONTHS so obviously I was well overdue a visit and a the little treats I brought home with me were definitely well deserved.

I've been drooling over this year's Christmas collection on pretty much every blogger's Instagram feed and I needed a bit of the action for myself. Firstly, can I just say that the staff in my local Lush store (Hull, wooooo) are an absolute delight! While my bank balance might not love them too much, I always find the staff at Lush so genuinely friendly and helpful and they helped me pick out some of the best from this years collection. Plus one of them complimented my lipstick so we're obviously best mates now.

Anyway, the first thing I picked up was always going to be a new bottle of Rose Jam shower gel (£9.95 for 200g) which is my favourite Lush scent EVER. I don't usually like rose or floral scents but this is just something else! I contemplated getting the massive 500g bottle but  I've only just finished my 250g bottle that I bought last year which is a good effort so I went for the same again and I'm so excited to use it! I really wish they'd make it part of the core Lush collection as it doesn't smell particularly Christmassy and I'd totally buy it all year round.

Ever since I saw it on Instagram, I had my heart set on picking up the 'Snowie' bubble bar (£4.25) and I pretty much gravitated towards this on display as soon as I set foot in the shop! It's not my favourite scent ever - the mix of neroli and rose oils make it super floral and fresh - but since it's Lush's own tribute to David Bowie, I couldn't exactly leave him behind! Bubble bars are my favourite Lush product too and I know I'll get a good couple of baths out of this little guy.

I ummed and ahhhed over the bath bomb display for a good 20 minutes or so before I decided to pick up couple of old favourites in Northern Lights and Shoot For The Stars. They've both got new looks too, which I'm a big fan of compared to the old designs and I'm so excited to use these sometime soon. The Northern Lights bath bomb (£3.95) is the best one to use when you want to relax. It's filled with ylang ylang and jasmine absolute which just makes for the best treat after a long and tiring day. The little show you get with this is a delight too, and the colours are bloody gorgeous! If you want a bath bomb with all the pretty bells and whistles then this is sooooo for you gals!
Shoot For The Stars bath bomb (£4.25) is an absolute little stunner too and although I'm a little upset that it doesn't have the same effect in your bath as before, it still looks ahhhhhh-mazing. It's glittery and magical and just all the goals and it's full of cocoa butter which is an added treat for the skin as well as the eyes!

Last but not least, I picked up a Lush Christmas classic but something totally new to me - the Snow Angel bath melt (£4.25)! I picked this up on a total whim thanks to the enabling powers of the Lush staff, but I'm so glad they talked me into it! It's sweet scent is right up my street and it's made with so many nourishing and indulgent ingredients to give your skin a real pamper and make it the best bathing experience ever! I'll be saving this one for one of those lazy Sunday pampers and I can't wait!

What are your favourite Lush products? Are there any more Christmas bits you think I should pick up?
