I can't quite believe that I'm writing up another monthly favourites post but here we are again! March has been a good 'un and I've spent the majority of it with a big fat grin on my face which has made a nice change! I'm also glad to see a glimpse of Spring on the horizon too with the (semi!) nice weather we've been having and I can't wait to get rid of my constant uniform of jeans for a couple of months and get my legs out - WOO!
As for my favourites this month, there's been a few that have made my March a good one and I'm happy to share them with you...
Beauty: I've been craving sunshine and a tan this last month but since I'm so pale, no ordinary fake tan would do. I'd heard good things about the St Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan and it hasn't disappointed! The colour definitely is gradual and not for someone wanted to be a bronzed goddess overnight, but after using this 3 or 4 times over the course of the week, the colour had built up and I had the natural looking glow I'd been craving! While the application process is a little bit weird (apply to wet skin and wait 3 minutes freezing your tits off in the bathroom before rinsing off), it definitely works and I've never seen a streak yet! The colour gradually fades too and doesn't leave behind any awkward orange patches. WIN!
Speaking of in shower, I've finally found a body wash to replace my beloved Lush Snow Fairy and it's the Soap & Glory Whipped Clean Shower Butter. I'm THE laziest person when it comes to body moisturising after a bath or shower so I thought I'd give this a go and have the best of both worlds! It's a body wash-moisturiser combo that smells bloody amazing and does 2 jobs in one perfectly!
A repeat offender in favourites is Essie's Cocktail Bling, which featured last month too! I've been wearing it non-stop and it's the perfect nail colour to transition to Spring.
If you saw my post on my recent Neal's Yard haul, you'll know I picked up literally errrrrrrythang in the Rehydrating Rose range, and the facial oil I picked up has been a life saver for me this month. I've had horrible patches of dry skin taking over my face, and this has got rid of them and got my skin back to it's best.
Clearly no favourites post of mine would be complete without a lip product and this month I've been head over heels in love with my Limecrime Velvetine in 'Wicked'. It's a gorgeous dark vampy red that compliments my skintone perfectly and this sticks around FOREVER. Even though it's drying, it's comfortable to wear and it applies beautifully! Everyone's going ga-ga over the Kylie Lipkits recently (myself included, not going to lie...) but these are definitely of the same quality and are seriously underrated!
Lastly my ultimate beauty favourite of March is the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. I got this tiny little sample in the March Birchbox and have been using it ever since. It's lavender scent is so soothing and I've noticed that every night I've used it since I've slept like a baby and woken up feeling so much more refreshed and well-rested! I can't wait to purchase the full-size version and I'm sure it won't be the last you see on here...
Fashion & Style: I've gone wild and quite unlike me, I've been on a few nights out this month and obviously had to purchase new outfits each time. My favourite purchase of the month is this faux leather pencil skirt from ASOS that got me loads of compliments and made me feel sexy as hell!
TV& Film: I've been completely and utterly obsessed with Gossip Girl (for the 4th time no less...) and I'm enjoying it even more than I have before! I've gotten so much fashion inspiration out of it this time around too and I've found myself taken over by the Chuck and Blair romance. JUST GET TOGETHER ALREADY!
Food: Me and my other half went on a much needed date night to a restaurant called Henry Yeast & Sons in Hull last week. It's been somewhere that we've wanted to go to for aaaaages and we finally booked a table and enjoyed some amazing food and a beer or two. Who know coconut beer was a thing?!
Also if I thought that my Nakd bar addiction couldn't get any better, I found the Mint Humbug nibbles in my local supermarket and they're the best yet! I've got the biggest sweet tooth and these kick the cravings like nothing else...yum!
Blogs & Youtube: Hannah Gale has been my go-to this month and I've been loving her blog and Youtube! She's sassy and funny as hell and I love that she's never afraid to be herself!
Books: After seeing it do the rounds on Twitter and Instagram, I finally purchased a copy of Blogosphere magazine. It's a magazine "for bloggers by bloggers" and they've done a bloody good job! The final product looks so professional and fancy and what's inside is fab too. They're really active on SM too and are always giving smaller bloggers the chance to feature inside.
