Skin Benefits

Another one of my lovely Christmas came in the form of the Benefit 'Complextion Confections' giftset, which contained some of their best-selling skincare bits.
Now I've always been a bit reluctant to try skin care from brands that are primarily known for other reasons, as I find most tend to be quite gimick-y, but this is far from it!

I've recently ditched my much-loved Origins GinZing moisturiser and eye cream in favour of the It's Potent eye cream and the Triple Performing facial emulsion, and after roughly two weeks of using this morning and night, I have not been disappointed by the results.

The Triple Performing facial emulsion is perfect for winter, as it's quite a thick consistency and instantly hydrates thirsty and tired skin. A little goes a long way with this, which is fab as it's quite pricey to repurchase so it's nice to know you're going to get your moneys worth (not my money on this occasion, but yano what I mean!)
The packaging is super cute and vintage looking, with a really pretty glass bottle with a faux cork lid that looks like an old fashioned cork stopper! It has a handy little pump too so you only need to use a small amount of product at a time and none is wasted! For packaging alone, I'd give the facial emulsion a 10/10 but the fact that the product itself is a godsend is a bonus.
After 2 weeks of using morning and night, I've found my skin has never looked or felt better. I don't think this would work quite as well in summer, as it is a thick consistency but it gets the job done when you need it most.

The It's Potent! eye cream was something I was eager to try out after hearing such amazing things about its ability to brighten eyes and banish dark circles, and trust me, I was in dire need of some help in that department! Again I've used this morning and night for around 2 weeks now and I've noticed the difference. My dark circles are still there, this ain't no miracle worker, but my eyes look noticeably less puffy and tired and I no longer fear leaving the house without concealer on! I've barely used any product too, which is fab considering it is a small pot. The packaging is on point yet again, and the product itself is a winner. I think, again, it's probably one to be used more in winter as it's quite a heavy consistency but I'll definitely be turning to this when I'm in need of a boost around my undereyes...

Have you tried any of the Benefit skincare range? What's your favourite? Let me know in the comments and don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin if you want to keep up to date with my posts!

  5. Fab reviews :) I always think Benefit are underestimated when it comes to their skincare it’s fab! I really love the packaging and I love using it’s Potent, like you said it doesn’t perform miracles but it does help de-puff your eyes :)

  7. I love the It's Potent eye cream - I swear by it at night time. I've definitely noticed a difference since using it. I also love the Instant Comeback serum, but have found the Superdrug own brand to be just as good (and a lot cheaper!) xx
