Today wasn't the first time I've had the pleasure of visiting the show - I went twice whilst I was studying Textiles at college a few years ago - so I knew what to expect when I got through the doors, but I was still completely overwhelmed! I have literally never seen hoards of people to that scale all under one roof and each and every one was all there with the same interests but a broad scale of age and knowledge, which was quite interesting thinking about it.
I haven't really spoken about my love of crafting much on my blog, but after studying Fashion Design and Textiles for a few years at school, college and a poor attempt at university, it is still very much a passion of mine that I sadly haven't had much time recently to divulge myself into. Well let me tell you, I am bloomin' well inspired after today! I even decided to start myself off with a new hobby - knitting! Yes thats right, I am 22 going on 82 but it's something I really want to learn how to do and I've heard it's super relaxing! Plus how handy would it be to be able to make my own knitwear instead of buying from the shops...now there's a thought.
All in all, I had a grand day and picked up some little treats for myself including a lifetime's worth of fabric fat quarters...I can't resist a bargain, okay?!
Here are some photos I took throughout the day, I hope you appreciate the amazing handiwork as much as I do!
Have you ever been to anything like the Knit And Stitch Show? Do you have any crafty hobbies? Let me know in the comments and follow me on GFC and Bloglovin if you want to keep up with my blog :)
Always, Alice x
Knitting is also really good for your joints and helps prevent arthritis! I'm not particularly crafty but I do like a good mooch around a craft fair whenever I come across one!
