Day out in Leeds!

Yesterday, along with my darling other half and our good friend Ryan, we ventured along the motorway to do a spot of shopping in my favourite place ever...Leeds!

I've been shopping in quite a few places up and down the country but Leeds is definitely one of my favourites, it has EVERYTHING! I'm planning on doing a haul post later in the week showing you all my purchases so I won't go into too much detail about that but I will say that I am definitely a sucker for an expensive makeup counter (and of course I visited  Lush AGAIN.)

The best part of the day, hands down (apart from the AMAAAAZING buskers scattered around the city centre!) was definitely lunch time. We were exploring the Trinity shopping centre when we spotted Wagamamas hiding in a corner. Now I'm ashamed to say I was a Wagamamas virgin, so I was super excited when I saw it and marched right over! The boys didn't really have a choice...sorry darlings!
I was well impressed when I noticed the main feature on the drinks menu was their mega healthy raw juice drinks. We recently bought a little blender and our household has been going juice and smoothie crazy so this was an awesome addition to the menu for me, something different to Pepsi!

I had NO IDEA whatsoever what to order from the menu, so I went for something I'd heard of before and got the grilled chicken Katsu curry. It arrived so incredibly quickly and I was not disappointed! I also learned how to use chopsticks...cultured or what?!

Shoes, Topshop
Ripped jeans, ASOS
Lipstick, L'Oreal Blake Red

Another place I was amazed by was the Lego shop! Now, unfortunately I'm a bit too old for Lego (although half the kids in there were definitely taller than me), but I still got so excited at all of the awesome Lego sets there were! I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks toys look so much more fun than I was younger?! The Simpsons set was my favourite, am I told old to put it on my christmas list...?

Of course it wouldn't have been a trip to Leeds without popping into Harvey Nics, and I must say I was proud of myself for the restraint I had around the beauty floor, especially the Charlotte Tilbury counter! It was all so pretty, and although I managed to stop myself from buying anything, I did make a mental wishlist as long as my arm of things I neeeeed to purchase!

In Space NK, however, I did not have as much restraint and this happened...

I'll show you guys what I got later in the week!
After a quick Costa stop to sample the christmas menu, and a few lift selfies later, we were on our way home...via IKEA of course.

Now I don't know whose idea it was to go...ahem...but as me and my other half are saving up to buy our own house, it was literally the most exciting evening of my life. I could spend hours walking around their show rooms and it's safe to say we'll need to be millionaires to be able to afford everything on my wishlist, but everything was so beautiful! It was all set up for christmas too which was awesome!

Can this please be my kitchen?!

Dinner time beckoned and what IKEA trip would be complete without a plate of swedish meatballs!

Of course we didn't leave empty handed, and came home with a massive 2 bags full of stuff to make our room so much more cosy and homely for winter and I can't wait to share the transformation with you!

As I said I will let you know what I bought later in the week but I wanted to share yesterday with you regardless! Everywhere was so pretty and christmassy and it was a lovely day from start to finish!

Where are your all time favourite places to shop? Let me know in the comments :)

Always, Alice x

  4. Oh, I'm such a sucker for Christmastime! It all looks lovely. I haven't been to the shops here in Glasgow recently so I'm not sure if they'd be Christmassy yet, but I hope so!

By the way, I LOVE your outfit - that top is everything. Seriously obsessed.
