Life | Things I Learned From A Year Of Staying In

Hello 2021!

Thank f*ck for that.

Like many others, last New Year's Eve while stuffed to the brim with food eaten in an actual restaurant (what's one of those? No idea, mate) and more than a little merry after my Prosecco-induced "dance" around the kitchen to Proud Mary, I professed that 2020 was gonna be my year and no-one was gonna get in my way of living my best life.

Food | AD - An Evening At The Barnt Green Inn

I've never been known to turn down a chance to try out new food (since I'm too old and boring to go clubbing, going out to a restaurant is my fave past-time), so I was very excited when The Barnt Green Inn got in touch to see if I'd like to try out their menu and preview their grand new refurbishment!

Fashion | 3 Steps I'm Taking To Dressing More Sustainably

I feel like sustainability is the word on everyone's lips at the min, but it wasn't until recently that I started to take it a bit more seriously.

Life | How To Get Your Sh*t Together From One Stressed Gal To Another (ft. CGD London)

I can't even begin to put into words how completely overwhelmed and S T R E S S E D I have been for pretty much the entirety of October.

If you read my recent blog post, you'll know I've just started on the first year of my fashion degree, and while for the most part I'm loving it, the workload is beyond anything I've ever experienced before and I'm in serious danger of burning out before I've even really begun.

Travel | 4 Days In Budapest

After having it on my travel wishlist for a hella long time, we finally booked a trip to Budapest this summer and to cut a long story short, it's probably my favourite place I've travelled to so far!

We were only there for a long weekend (Fri-Mon) and there was a lot we wanted to pack into the trip in such a short space of time, and boy did we pack it in! I've been sharing a load of my travel snaps over on my Instagram, but I wanted to come on here and have a good old ramble about the trip and what we got up to cos it was a good one...

University | Reflecting On My First Year As A Mature Student

I'll admit, when I applied to uni for the second time at the age of 26, the words 'mature student' terrified me a little bit. Lets be honest, it doesn't sound like something you particularly want to be referred to as - right?

But after successfully surviving my first year of university as a mature (but mostly immature) student, I wanted to share with you my experience and the things I learned along the way!

Food | The Best Places To Grab Brunch In Birmingham

Anyone who knows me even just a little bit knows how much I bloody love brunch and how I'll never turn down the opportunity for a good coffee - probably with an added stack of pancakes on the side...

Back home there was a definite lack of places to eat the good stuff if you weren't up for chilling in a pub at 10am, so you'll understand how excited I was to move to Birmingham last summer and have a plethora of brunch options on my doorstep to choose from.
